A Message To Members From Shoalhaven Library .Maybe eBook & eAudiobook Could Be A Good Way to Enjoy Self-Isolation?

Shoalhaven City Council - Home | Facebook
This message was sent from Shoalhaven City Council Library to members. SO, I was thinking, this could be a good way to self-isolate by reading eBooks or listening to eAudio Books. If you are interested in do so, contact your your own Local Government Council libraries:

Due to current circumstances our Digital Library, in particular our eBook & eAudiobook platform BorrowBox, is experiencing higher than normal traffic which is resulting in a high number of loans. We are currently working with BorrowBox and we have just added 11 new eBook and 11 new eAudio titles that each allow 500 simultaneous loans. That's 11,000 instant loans!

Did you know you have access to three other ePlatforms, all accessible at our Digital Library?

RBdigital – RBdigital is Shoalhaven Libraries’ best kept secret. It offers eBooks and eAudiobooks and many of them allow simultaneous loans - no need to wait or reserve! Check out the ‘Recommended for Book Clubs’ shelf, which has lots of new and popular titles that can be loaned to 75 people simultaneously. RBdigital also has eMagazines with over 700 titles available including current and back issues! There are no loan limits to eMagazines - download to your device and keep forever.

indyreads - Our brand new ePlatform, Indyreads features independent Australian and international titles, classic literature and modern award-winning titles in eBook and eAudio format. Try it out!

EBSCO eBooks - Offers fiction titles for both adults and children, plus books on Self-Help, Health and Fitness, Games, Crafts and Hobbies, Medical, Cooking and Religion, Geography, Commerce and much more. All titles are available with unlimited user access, and many are available for download for offline viewing.

Shoalhaven Libraries members are also eligible to access the huge range of digital resources offered by the State Library of NSW. To do this, you’ll need to register your Shoalhaven Libraries card with the State Library. Follow this link to register your card now, or browse the State Library eResources.

Please note, the State Library’s eResources are only accessible this way for Shoalhaven Libraries members who have a physical library card. Members with a Digital Membership number (beginning with ‘555’) are not currently eligible, however, Digital Members can join the State Library and get a library card.

Our staff are available to help you or answer questions via phone or email. Please contact us on 44293705, or email us at library@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au.

Kind regards,
Shoalhaven Libraries
