Episode 7: The Bed Scene

The latest episode of Not Guilty: The Craig McLachlan Case is now live.

Out NOW on: Spotify | Apple | Deezer | Amazon

Hello Beautiful people,

Episode 7 of Not Guilty: The Craig McLachlan Case is now live.

This episode turns to allegations first aired publicly in the press against Craig McLachlan - allegations that would later become the subject of criminal charges and headlines that shaped a public narrative long before evidence was tested in the courtroom.

In this instalment, Vanessa examines the final complainant in the matter, known as C1, and brings a central allegation and its surrounding story to a decisive end.

Through a forensic and uncompromising analysis, the events surrounding the Rocky Horror bed scene are laid out in full. Evidence, timelines and testimony are examined piece by piece, revealing a version of events that is confronting, unexpected, and at times deeply shocking.

But the episode goes further, asking questions that are rarely voiced aloud.

When a complainant is not a stranger but a friend - when contact, messages and communication continued right up until the moment allegations were made - does that carry evidentiary weight? If no indication was ever given that anything was wrong, what does continued friendship mean, and how should a court interpret it?

Vanessa also revisits commentary from the presiding Magistrate, questioning whether public remarks truly reflected what unfolded inside the courtroom, and whether the tone of those remarks shaped how the case was ultimately understood.

Episode 7 is confronting listening. It challenges assumptions, revisits evidence, and asks whether the story told to the public was the same story tested under oath.

UNFILTERED: Episode 7

WATCH THE COMPANION DISCUSSION ON YOUTUBE.

In this week’s Unfiltered, Craig confronts Episode 7 head-on and finally lays to rest the infamous Bed Scene from the 2014 production of The Rocky Horror Show. No evasions. No fragments. The full account, in his own words.

Joined by Michael Cain, the conversation turns to his former friend and colleague known as C1. What happens when a friendship - with its history, its warmth, its continued contact - is later recast through the lens of allegation? How were years of communications reinterpreted once accusations emerged? And what unfolded inside the courtroom when those complexities were finally tested?

Layer by layer, the truth is laid bare.

This episode traces the path from media exposure to police charge - examining how perception can crystallise long before evidence is examined, and how narratives can harden before a court ever hears the facts.

Thank you, as always, for listening closely and engaging thoughtfully with this series as it moves into its final stages.

Jacinta Nampijinpa Price on Liberal Party This Week

Jacinta Price

This week the Liberal Party room made the decision to change our leader.

I’m very pleased to have voted for Angus Taylor and I’m looking forward to what he can achieve as he takes the fight to Labor.

I congratulate Senator Jane Hume too, who was elected deputy leader.

Changing leaders is not something done lightly.

But as Jane said earlier in the week, “unless something changes, we’ll be wiped out”.

That’s the reality we faced.

But with change comes renewal and opportunity.

It’s time to take the fight up against the worst government in our nation’s history.

It’s time to fight for a better Australia.

Under Angus’s leadership, I believe we can chart a way forward where we offer Australians a genuine opposition and an alternative government.

I believe we can do that if we stop trying to be Labor-lite.

Time and again, we’ve seen that when we try to be like Labor, people just vote for the real thing.

Our values need to be concrete and tied to real outcomes.

Stopping mass immigration, restoring cheap energy, bringing back industry, building more housing, ceasing classroom indoctrination, and reviving national pride.

We must reject identity politics and refuse to play the game with the media or with Labor of pandering to sectional interests.

Finally, it’s family, community, and nation that unite us, and a focus on building these three pillars will put us in a winning position.

I’m looking forward to rebuilding and continuing to fight for you and the values we share.

And I’m so glad to have you beside me as we get back into the fight!

Time for REAL solutions.

Real Innovation Fund Grant Opportunity - Workforce Australia - Local Jobs - Illawarra South Coast

Real Innovation Fund Grant Opportunity

Grants are now open for the REAL Innovation Fund, an initiative that will support the delivery of small-scale, community-led, innovative projects that build pathways to stable and culturally safe employment opportunities for First Nations people who have had contact with the justice system.

Projects can be designed to support both First Nations people currently in the justice system and those previously engaged in the justice system in the last 2 years. Initiatives will aim to address attitudinal and other systemic barriers that impact opportunities for individuals to transition into employment. The projects can build on pre-existing programs/initiatives or test new approaches.

Eligible organisations are invited to apply for funding under the REAL Innovation Fund, with the competitive grants process remaining open until 2 March 2026.

Funding will be allocated through a two-stage application process:

Stage One – Expression of Interest (EOI)
Applicants are required to submit an EOI outlining the key elements of their proposed project. The EOI serves as a concise pitch that enables the department to assess alignment with the objectives and intent of the REAL Innovation Fund.

Stage Two – Full Grant Application
Organisations shortlisted through Stage One will be invited to submit a full grant application. This stage provides the opportunity to expand on the proposal presented in the EOI and supply the detailed information required for final assessment.

Applications will only be accepted from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Orgs and joint consortia that are led by First Nations organisations.

Interested organisations are invited to apply for the funding via GrantConnect by 9.00pm (AEDT) on Monday 2 March 2026.

Angus Taylor - New Leader of Australian Liberal Party

It’s an honour to be elected the new leader of the Liberal Party.

It is on us, as Liberals, to regain the trust of everyday Australians.

The first priorities of the Liberal Party I lead will be to protect our way of life and restore our standard of living.

Our party must unapologetically defend Australian values.

I want our country to once again be one of opportunity and aspiration, of freedom and safety.

We must restore Australia to a country where life is affordable, where our kids can buy a home, where you can raise a family, and where there’s a fair go once again – a country of strength and unity.

Many of us have known this Australia before.

I want us all to know that Australian dream again.

All Australians, especially young Australians, deserve the stability that comes from owning a home and the opportunity it provides.

We will re-establish home ownership as the centrepiece of the Australian dream.

We will stand for an immigration policy that’s in the interests of Australians and that puts Australian values at the centre of that policy.

Immigration numbers have been too high.

Immigration standards have been too low.

And both must change.

The Liberals will put Australian values at the centre of immigration policy.

If someone doesn’t subscribe to our core beliefs – the door will be shut.

If someone wants to import the hatreds and violence of other places onto our soil – the door will be shut.

As Liberals, we stand for lower inflation, lower interest rates and lower taxes.

The Liberal Party will always be the party of lower taxes.

We will ferociously fight Labor's bad taxes – including a tax on your home, a tax on your super, a tax on you and your children’s future.

We know government must live within its means – so Australians have the means to live.

Moreover, our goal is to grow the economy so that it delivers for you.

And renew the conditions that see confident investment in the future of the nation.

Australians need an energy policy based on common sense – not Labor’s flawed Net Zero ideology.

We will get rid of Labor’s carbon taxes that are pushing up the cost of food, cars and housing.

We will reduce financial pressures for families, expand child care choice and give children the best start in life, not force every family into a universal system.

And we will properly fund our Defence Force to deter threats and aggression in this uncertain world.

Under my leadership, the Liberals will nurture national confidence and love for our country.

I want to acknowledge Sussan Ley.

After our humbling election defeat, Sussan took on an incredibly difficult task and gave her all. She is a good person and a true Liberal.

Along with our team, I am determined and ready – to serve the Australian people with courage and conviction.

Because Australia is worth fighting for.
Kind regards,
Angus Taylor
Leader of the Opposition
