Australian Men's Health Forum - Update

Dear John,

Thank you for subscribing to the Know Your Man Facts (KYMF) newsletter, created by the Australian Men's Health Forum.

2026 is shaping as another big year in men's health, beginning with January and February's focus on quitting, or reducing alcohol intake, as well as addressing water safety and reducing deaths by drowning throughout the summer months.

To help you plan, we have compiled a list of key events and special awareness days that impact men, from diabetes, stroke and heart health days to Prostate Cancer Awareness month in September, World Mental Health Day in October, Men's Health Week from 8-14 June and International Men's Day on 19 November ... to name a few.

Our Know Your Man Facts resources are designed to support your activities around these key events, spreading key information about men's health in a way that is easy to digest and relatable.

Thank you for being men's health champions!

Best Wishes,

Glen Poole, CEO
The Australian Men's Health Forum

Campaigns like Dry Jan and Feb Fast are gaining traction as awareness grows around the long-term health impacts of alcohol use among men, particularly those who sit just below recognised “risky drinking” thresholds.
