Response From Shoalhaven Tourism On The basin Walk Promotion - Ww need Shoalhaven City Council to Complete Insuramce Claim
Basically, The Basin Walk will not be promoted until Shoalhaven City Council gets the upgrades on missing sections finished, inclusive of the pending insurance claim from weather damage. Once all is finished, Shoalhaven Tourism will be able to launch and promote the walk.

Here is the email response:
Dear John,
Thanks for sending your feedback through.
The Basin Walk, along with a number of other walks was funded via a Tourism Grant via the Federal Government and have been underway for some time. I have linked to the page which contains updates for your information as these projects have not been finished or launched – for the particular walk you are enquiring about, there are significant areas which require missing sections to be fixed and Council is waiting on an insurance claim t finalise these section and hence, launch and promote this walk.
We are currently working internally on a plan for promoting these new walks alongside our internal stakeholders, the Executive Comms team and the project manager. We have begun photoshoots. We appreciate your patience.
I also thank you for your feedback on including information on buses for the region. In the opening page of our new travel guide we provide information on buses and other transport. This guide is created annually so we do not be publishing exact routes and times as this is dynamic. Please see page 3 of the guide attached here.
“Between the Flags” is one of our supplementary Visitor Centres that we provide collateral to. We will continue to provide them collateral they require, and we believe they do have information on the bus routes available for consumers.
Once again, thank you John and have a happy new year.
Kristy
