Addressing Affordable Housing and Disability Accommodation There’s no question we need more affordable housing and specialist disability accommodation, and today’s meeting—hosted by the Lions Ulladulla & Districts Community Foundation—focused on closing these gaps. While Jindelara Stage 2, a supported independent living project, is already under construction thanks to $800,000 in federal funding, the next goal is expanding affordable housing. The Albanese Government’s
Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF), a $10 billion investment, aims to deliver 20,000 new social and 10,000 new affordable homes. Future rounds will provide ongoing opportunities to kickstart shovel-ready projects.
