We need everyone's help- WSDA - No Toxic Sydney Incinerators

Email received by myself from WSDA - No toxic Sydney Incinerators:

To Stop Five Toxic Incinerators

Dear John
You were one of the many people who signed our Petitions and completed our Community Surveys back in 2016-2018. Thank you so much, that helped our community stop the last Incinerator at Eastern Creek from going ahead.

John Svoboda with your help again, along with every new person that has signed up in 2020, we can shut down the incineration industry in Sydney for good.
Incineration was recently banned in the ACT
due to concerns about health impacts.
There are currently five proposals for Incinerators in the Sydney Basin.  Emissions from each Incinerator will travel up to 40km (UK Scientist)
Click on the picture below to see the extra emissions we will have when four additional incinerators are built.
Click on the below picture to see a year in the life of 4 Incinerators
EVERYONE IN THE SYDNEY BASIN WILL BE EFFECTED !
Incinerators release substances, such as arsenic, cadmium, nickel and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and POPs - Dioxins & Furans (these cancer causing substances enter the food chain, through, eggs and meat and then enter our bodies and never leave - they can cause cancer).  Source

Please forward this email to your friends living in Sydney and ask them to click here to sign up for updates:  UPDATES HERE
These are particulates (PM10) collected in filter paper at a family home close to an Incinerator in the UK.  Incinerators are known to produce ultra fine and nano particulates (0.01PM) in high quantities, they can cause cancer.

How Can You Help?

#noinstinkerator

1. Please do our survey on five incinerators for Sydney by clicking here: (its the most important thing you can do, this way we can confirm 100% who wants Incinerators and who does not.  We can not rely on the companies wanting to build them to tell the truth. For Example: Cleanaway told a panel of market researchers around 60% of people wanted an incinerator in Blacktown, which is totally incorrect, 99% of people surveyed are against an Incinerator being built anywhere in Sydney.

2. Protest outside Parliament House 'No to five Sydney Incinerators' - 11am, 3rd October 2020 outside parliament.
Under COVID19 NSW Laws, only 20 people may congregate in public.  Over 50 people have RSVP'd (here) and everyone is still welcome to join us.  We just want people to be aware that NSW Police have been unpredictable at recent peaceful protests.

A Protest outside Sydney Uni recently resulted in arrests even though they were in groups of 19, all wore masks and were socially distanced. We don't want anyone to be arrested.  Our aim is always Peaceful Non violent Direct Action. Where in the past we have always had a positive interaction with law enforcement In this instance we feel that the NSW Police are being overly hostile and we feel the risk to our young children and elderly is just too great.

People attending must make their own decision about attending.  If you decided you can no longer attend please go to the event page and Click on Interested instead of going Here:

Families and community member can participate in the Protect YOUR SYDNEY rally online between today and the 3rd October 2020, by uploading a photo of a socially distanced group of 20 or less, or individual photos are probably the best idea.  Please hold a sign saying THE SUBURB (where you life) says NO TO INCINERATORS IN THE SYDNEY BASIN !

E.g
BLACKTOWN SAYS NO TO INCINERATORS IN THE SYDNEY BASIN
MATRAVILLE SAYS. NO TO INCINERATORS IN THE SYDNEY BASIN

This is very important, all the photos will be put together to make a banner of all the people against these toxic incinerators, but were not allowed to attend due to COVID19 restrictions.

UPLOAD YOUR PHOTO HERE - THANK YOU

3. Protect YOUR Sydney
Go to the Protect YOUR Sydney! event page and upload a photo of you or your group holding a sign of support for Sydneysiders fighting 5 Incinerators near homes and schools, ultimately effecting all the air quality in the Sydney Basin.  This event starts now until to 3rd October 2020.

These pictures will be made into a banner to represent the people opposed to these toxic incinerators but were unable to attend due to COVID regulations.

Join our letter writing group
Every now and again we will email you out a letter asking you to send it on to a Minister in Parliament.
This will always be part of a coordinated effort where hundreds of people are also sending the same letter on the same day.  You will always receive instructions, a letter and email address' as well as street address' to post to if you prefer.
This is a quick and simple way to help our campaign to stop these toxic incinerators in their tracks!

We have Petitions!
Please contact us at wsdaction@gmail.com or by messaging our Facebook Page Here  ,we will email or mail you out a petitionmaybe you can ask your neighbours and co-workers to sign?
