Have your say on private ferry fares

We’re reviewing the maximum fares for private ferry services in Sydney, the Central Coast and the North Coast of NSW. These fares will apply from 1 January 2026.

Routes include:

  • Brooklyn to Dangar Island
  • Circular Quay to Lane Cove
  • Cronulla to Bundeena
  • Palm Beach to Mackerel Beach
  • Palm Beach to Ettalong
  • Scotland Island and Western Foreshore of Pittwater
  • Woy Woy to Empire Bay
  • Yamba to Iluka

This review is important for ferry operators and passengers who rely on these services. Your feedback will help us set fair and appropriate fares.

We are asking for your input to help us determine the maximum fares by making a submission on or completing our short survey.

Have your say on NSW retail energy markets

Have you signed up to be part of a virtual power plant or a demand response program? We're looking into how new energy products are working for customers in NSW. If you've used a program like this, we’d love to hear about your experience.

Your feedback will help shape our review of the retail electricity and gas markets.

Read the consultation paper and have your say by 22 August.

Have your say on WaterNSW bulk water prices

We’d like your feedback on the draft prices we have set for WaterNSW bulk water services in the Greater Sydney region, from 1 October 2025 to 30 June 2028.

WaterNSW sells bulk water to Sydney Water and a small number of other water suppliers, so bulk water pricing can affect the price you pay for the water you buy from those suppliers.

Ratepayers workshop

Let’s talk rates — August workshop coming up

We’re inviting ratepayers and community members to an online workshop to learn how IPART sets the rate peg and how the methodology works.

The workshop will be held on Monday 25 August 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

You’ll hear directly from IPART, have the chance to ask questions, and share feedback to help inform the Tribunal’s decision on the 2026–27 rate peg.
