IPART has approved 5 special variation and minimum rate increases - NSW IPART

We approved 4 councils’ special variation applications to increase their income above the rate peg, and one minimum rate application

We approved the special variation applications from Central Coast, Hunter’s Hill, Kyogle and Snowy Valleys Councils, and Cumberland City Council’s minimum rate increase application. We assessed each application against the Office of Local Government (OLG) criteria in its guidelines for special variations and minimum rate increases.

We appreciate all the submissions we received from stakeholders on the councils’ applications. We considered these submissions alongside the OLG criteria when we made our decisions.
