Shoalhaven City Council Media Release

18 May 2021

Shoalhaven City Council is pleased to announce the completion of the Woollamia Commercial Boating Infrastructure project.

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley officially opened the new amenities on Monday which will benefit both recreational and commercial craft operators.  Deputy Mayor Greg Watson and Clr Mark Kitchener were also in attendance.

The project consisted of the construction of a new carpark and a loading platform.  The project has been completed through the support of the NSW Government’s Growing Local Economies grant, in conjunction with funding from Shoalhaven City Council.

“I would like to thank the NSW State Government for partnering with Shoalhaven City Council to deliver this project ”, Clr  Findley said.

“The project at the Woollamia Regional Boating Facility will support commercial and recreational activities benefiting both locals and tourists,” Clr Findley said.

“The newly constructed loading platform provides an alternative loading and unloading dock to Huskisson thereby supporting commercial activity.  While the newly constructed car park provides additional parking for the boating community”, Clr Findley stated.

Shoalhaven City Council would like to again thank the NSW State Government for their support of this project.
