Shoalhaven Export Hub was launched in Nowra today after Shoalhaven City Council was successful in receiving grant funding through the Australian Government’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Export Hubs Initiative.
Shoalhaven City Council and the Commonwealth Government are both contributing $150,000 to establish and operate the Shoalhaven Export Hub through to mid-2022.
Mayor Amanda Findley was thrilled that the initiative will help Shoalhaven businesses to grow, export and increase local and regional jobs.
“Membership of the Shoalhaven Export Hub is free, offering a collaborative business-to-business network to help small and medium size businesses harness opportunities in global markets.
“The Hub works to break down the barriers for local business to break through into international markets and will work with businesses to build their skills and know-how.
“I highly encourage local businesses to jump onboard with the Hub, to harness global opportunities to build economic growth and global reach for our community which will result in further infrastructure and job creation for the Shoalhaven” Mayor Findley said.
Seminars, workshops and networking activities to develop skills and contacts will be held for members.
Shoalhaven businesses who would like to discover if export is right for them, are interested in developing an export plan or growing their established export business are encouraged to join. Further information on the Shoalhaven Export Hub is available at https://business.shoalhaven.
