It’s people like you who can make a difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness and hardship.
Each year, our NSW Vinnies Community Sleepouts raises vital funds for our essential services and programs, supporting thousands of people in need across our state in regional towns and local suburbs.
This year, the event is faced with a great challenge shared by so many people across the globe. COVID-19 has meant that all of us have had to adjust the way we do things – the way we do business, the way we socialise and the way we help others.
It’s why we’ve developed a virtual format for this year’s NSW Vinnies Community Sleepout so that we can still go ahead with this very important event, whilst adhering to social distancing rules. On Friday 23 October, participants across NSW will sleep out at home in their cars, backyards or couches and come together in a state-wide effort to help those in our local communities who are doing it tough. And boy, don’t we need this more than ever? Best of all, we’ll be in it together – sleeping out as an entire state – on the one night. Participants will join a live stream, hosted by 2GB and Channel 9 Presenter - Deborah Knight, connecting you to our brave speakers, inspiring videos and live crosses across the state.
