So, What Can You Do - Whilst Being In Self-Isolation? Here Are Some Answers....

So, why is this important? It is so important because a lot of us, may not be used to being in self-isolation at your own home or at designated Hotels paid for by the Australian Government. We do have to look after our own wellbeing first. Then we can look after others.

That means, we have to be in a good state of mind. Even a happy state of mind. Getting us there may be difficult for some as it is hard for us to think what can we do at home. My first recommendation is to remain calm and think things out. Then comes the list of things you can choose from. Not all is something happy you wish to do. It is up to you personally how you choose which one you do.

Remember the Australian Government is doing everything in their power to prevent the Coronavirus COVID-19 disease to spread. This will support their efforts and  keep us safe from others.

Here is the list, in no special order:

  • Creative writing: write a book, blogpost, poetry scripts for TV or Radio Shows, letters to to the editor to newspapers
  • running around your  back garden, house or unit
  • Talk to your pets: dogs, birds, cats, reptiles
  • Contact your your local Governments Areas and obtain Autumn Holiday Programs similar to Blacktown City Council  one Click here, leading the way to keeping children busy at home

  • Look at any debts you have to pay and negotiate and look for affordable payment agreements: contact your Creditor to make arrangements, they will be  waiting for your call. If you can't make payment  provide your hardship details to them. You may obtaion a copy of your Credit file from Equifax or Dunn & Bradstreet and any other Credit Reporting Agency. Once done there is a great sense of self-satisfaction.Should you find this difficult to do contact any financial advisers who deal with hard ship
  • Join a Face Book Group that deals with dealing with Mental Health and Wellbeing similar to this one.Choose a group that creates a positive feeling and sense of happiness within yourself. Which you can then pass onto others living with you.
  • De-clutter your house: Take this time to go through your paperwork, go through your garage, wardrobe and  drawers, to see what we don't want and don't use anymore. My simple rule is what you have worn or used in the last year, dispose of it. Someone else may  have better use of it - Donate it to local charities
  • Study a subject that you haven't studied before through your own resources, Google and other electronic search engines and present your study to your family living with you

  • Start a new garden or clean your garden up, beautify your garden it it isn't beautified, start a herb and Veggie Patch from seedlings.
  • Start looking and growing indoor plants and herbs your tending loving care.
  • Facetime family and friends in Australia and all around the world - keeping in touch with others is great.

  • Start a new hobby - something you have been wanting to do but because of time you can't do it.
  •  Have rest when you need it throughout the day
  •  You might wan to listen to Quite Please Radio episodes on 92.7FM on Tuesdays nights from 6pm Click here for details

These above activities are to help each any everyone of you but not all you will want to do each one. There are many other ideas you may have in your mind to keep yourself entertained - if they are to leave you feeling positive use them.
