Penrith Jobs Fair - Melissa McIntosh, MP For Lindsay

Emailed received from Melissa McIntosh, Federal Member of Lindsay:

The Australian Government is hosting the Penrith Jobs Fair to showcase local businesses in Western Sydney. As a member of the Lindsay Healthy Active Living Network, I would welcome you and a representative from your organisation the opportunity to attend.

This will be an opportunity to bring job seekers and employers together and match job seekers to jobs. If you have any vacancies to fill, I encourage your business to register as an exhibitor.

The Penrith Jobs Fair will be held from 9.30am to 3.30pm

on Friday 7 February 2020 at Penrith Valley Regional

Sports Centre located at 30 Herbert Street, Cambridge

Park.

Exhibition spaces are free and will provide you with an

opportunity to showcase your job opportunities and connect

with local job seekers with a variety of skills.

Since July 2018, a number of Jobs Fairs have been held

around Australia. These have been extremely successful,

with over 24,000 job seekers attending and more than

12,400 job vacancies available.

The event will include interactive and informative workshops

for people to advance their employability. This includes

workshops such as how to tailor a resume and practice

interviews with an expert.

We will also be hosting specialists working in STEM fields

allowing people to directly connect with people working in

the STEM industry, Western Sydney Airport and the

Aerotropolis.

For budding entrepreneurs, the Government’s

Entrepreneurship Facilitators and New Business Assistance

providers will be available to provide information on how

they can start their own business.

For more information about the event including up-to-date

exhibitor listings and workshop schedules, please

visit www.employment.gov.au/penrithJF

If you would like to discuss this, please

email jobsfairs@employment.gov.au or contact my office on

I look forward to seeing you and please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Yours sincerely
Melissa
