Olivia Dean was the artist we needed in 2025

It was a countdown filled with 26 debutantes, back-to-backs, and some huge Australian wins, but Olivia Dean has taken the crown with ‘Man I Need’.

It’s official, the nation is calling her wonderful, and we’ve got something to give – the #1 place in the Hottest 100. With 5 tracks in the countdown and two in the top 10… we are well and truly in our Olivia Dean era!

It was a HUGE day for Australian acts with Keli Holiday taking out the #2 spot with his viral hit ‘Dancing2’. WA royalty, Tame Impala followed up closely with ‘Dracula’ at #3. Plus, local legends Playlunch scoring #4 with their ‘bogan-funk’ hit ‘Keith’, which catapulted straight from Unearthed to Hottest 100 glory.
