Story Factory Update

As the end of the financial year approaches, we’re asking you to stand with us in the fight for educational equity.

At Story Factory, we work every day to close the widening educational achievement gap between advantaged and disadvantaged students. Right now, this gap is a shocking five years, with access to quality literacy support often determined by postcode.

The consequences of poor literacy can be profound and lifelong, including diminished confidence, fewer opportunities, and intergenerational disadvantage.

At Story Factory, we are bridging this gap, using the power of creative writing to support young people to build their confidence and develop the literacy skills they need to engage and succeed at school.

We need your help to deliver life-changing creative writing programs for an additional 8,000 young people in the next 12 months.

Your tax-deductible gift can do more than support a program—it can transform a future.

Any donation, big or small, makes a difference:

  • $25 provides colourful, creative workshop materials for our school programs
  • $55 supports one child to develop vital skills in our term-long creative writing programs
  • $80 supports a budding young writer in our intensive after-school creative writing workshops
  • $150 contributes to the delivery of a holiday workshop for a local community group, inspiring ongoing engagement with learning

Together, we can ensure all young people, regardless of their background, develop the skills and confidence to overcome educational barriers and thrive.

Please give today. Help young people from under-resourced communities write brighter futures for themselves, one story at a time.

With thanks,

The Story Factory team
