Shoalhaven Libraries would like to advise the community of potential disruptions at Nowra Library in the coming weeks, as work gets underway to upgrade the libraries heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system.

Construction is about to begin at Nowra Library as the facility receives ceiling and roof repairs with the installation of a new HVAC system. Work is expected to start on Wednesday 11 August 2021 for a five-week duration and will be undertaken in a COVID safe way with safety a priority as always.

Libraries users are being advised that there will be no air-conditioning system available in public areas over the five-week duration. Fans will be in operation and windows will be opened as needed to ensure visitors are as comfortable as possible.

Nowra Library is expected to be closed to the public from Saturday 28 August until Monday 30 August 2021 for works to take place within the library space

The library will continue to operate under usual opening hours for the rest of the duration of the works.

Please be aware that that the above dates could be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and the community will be made aware of any changes.

It is great that the system is being upgraded to ensure a more functional and comfortable library space for the community to enjoy.

The community are reminded that Shoalhaven Libraries has a range of informational and recreational resources that can be accessed from anywhere at any time using the Digital Library.

Library users can access digital library resources on our website.
