Blacktown Arts Intensive Open Studio program has been open for eighteen months and continues to attract a dedicated group of local artists. It has become a vibrant hub that inspires creativity and supports the local art community.

Snapshot is a small sample of the diverse practices from the studio, featuring 40 artworks by 12 artists. The exhibition showcases the work of a group of local artists by providing a glimpse into their current practice. It also features selected artworks by the studio lead artist and tutor, Patrice Wills.

Places of Blacktown features artworks from the Blacktown City Art Collection that capture moments throughout Blacktown’s history and help preserve the places of our past. Featuring the work of Michael Bakich, Luis Victor Martinez, Allan Newtown, Catherine O’Donnell, Joan Prince, Nerryl Roper, Win Russell, Peter Rush, Keith Strickland and Leanne Tobin.

Warrick Lane community celebration

Join us for the official opening of the redeveloped Warrick Lane precinct in the Blacktown City Centre. Be one of the first people to walk through this world-class facility, featuring the first multi-level car park with Darug language along with artworks by Blak Douglas and Light Wing by Skunk Control - a 10m reflective sculpture installed on the building’s façade.
