Shoalhaven City Council is reminding motorists of Transport for NSW upgrade works on the Princes Highway.
Council has been advised by Transport for NSW of changed conditions on the Princes Highway over the Christmas holiday period. These changes are in place to reduce congestion, improve safety and traffic flow over the Christmas period.
Shoalhaven Mayor Amanda Findley is reminding motorists to slow down and drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
“It is wonderful that so many visitors and locals are choosing to holiday in the beautiful Shoalhaven this year.
“The traffic control changes aim to give visitors and locals a safer and smoother journey, especially in areas impacted by roadworks. Motorists will notice speed limits have changed along many sections of the Princes Highway including the Berry to Bomaderry upgrade zone, the Nowra Bridge project zone and the Jervis Bay Road intersection.
“Please take particular care at the pedestrian crossing in Milton at the Wason St intersection and follow the directions of traffic control staff who will be in place. These workers will ensure pedestrian safety and maintain traffic flow on the highway during peak periods,” said Clr Findley.
