Council Hosts Free Grant Writing Webinar - Shoalhaven City Council - Media Release

Shoalhaven City Council Media Release

3 September 2020

Shoalhaven City Council is hosting a webinar for community groups and non profit organisations that want to improve their grant writing skills.

The one-hour interactive webinar presented by Keith Whelan from The Grant Guys can be viewed live at 7pm on 16 September.

The webinar will also be recorded and published on Council’s Grants Funding page

Keith Whelan became known as “The Grants Guy” when he started writing and proof-reading Grants for organisations in Australia in 2012.

Keith has worked with not-for-profits, charities, universities, government departments & agencies, sports clubs, Aboriginal groups, arts organisations and educational bodies and has great insight into the needs for funding in Australia, what grants exist and how to apply for them.

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Amanda Findley said, “I encourage all Shoalhaven community groups and non-profit organisations that could benefit from improved grant writing skills to participate in this webinar in order to continue to develop and grow their work in the community.”

“The live webinar is an opportunity to upskill grant writing skills, and good grant writing can open up access to some useful grant funding. I encourage eligible organisations to take advantage of Mr Whelan’s expertise and increase their grant writing skills for potential funds for future projects.” said Clr Findley.

To join the webinar session at 7pm on 16 September go to Council’s Events page

To view the recorded webinar after 16 September, go to Council’s Grants Funding page
