One act. Big impact.
Who in your community deserves to be recognised and celebrated?
As a former Westfield Local Hero participant, we are inviting you to be involved in the 2020 program - as a nominator and/or nominee.
Nominate now at www.westfield.com.au/local-heroes OR www.westfield.co.nz/local-heroes. Nominations close on 16 March 2020.
Last year we asked all previous participants for their feedback and we have listened.
  • Simpler, quicker nominations
  • Longer nomination period
  • Expanded criteria - more areas of social need and environmental benefits
Now in its third year, the program has recognised and celebrated more than 230 individuals who make a positive impact to their local community.
Westfield Local Heroes are nominated and voted for by their communities, with three finalists per Westfield centre each awarded a $10,000 grant for their affiliated organisation or group.
The program recognises and promotes community role models whose work or activities create positive benefit for others in one or more of the following ways:
  • Nurturing a sense of belonging and inclusion
  • Helping in times of community crisis
  • Building community resilience
  • Promoting positive health and wellbeing
  • Improving access to community services and groups
  • Protecting the local environment
If you have any questions, please contact us at community@scentregroup.com.
Visit www.westfield.com.au/local-heroes OR www.westfield.co.nz/local-heroes for more information and to nominate between 18 February and 16 March 2020.
Kind regards,
Community Experience Team
